Over the weekend I met up with my clients, Tommy and Lisa for their engagement session. I just love them! Lisa has been emailing me since they booked me last June with fun details about her dresses (yes, there will be more than one!!!), engagement session ideas, and I feel like I know them so well already! Their love for each other is beyond evident. To watch Tommy open Lisa's car door, guide her through the front door, ask her if she was o.k. when she had to lay in the long grass, and especially keeping an eye out for a snake or even a bug of any kind. He held her so close and endearing throughout our shoot. Watching them just made me happy. Happy that they love each other so much. Happy that we were laughing together....a lot of laughing!!! Happy that I knew that they are really meant for each other. I decided that it would be fun to interview my engaged couples so that when I blog their pictures, I can list some really interesting details about their life and things that they love... Tommy: Occupation: Anesthesiologist How we met: She made a pass at me at work (Lisa: soo untrue!) My favorite thing about Lisa: She is so ticklish! :) She is also very loving and caring. He was my first boyfriend and I his first girlfriend. Little did I know that our paths would cross again many moons later. They couldn't resist, and had a blast playing around!!! One thing you should know about Tommy is that he is obsessed with trucks, and in particular, HIS truck... So much that we thought it would only be sensible to take a picture of them with his truck! So then we thought it would be funny to make fun of Lisa's current obsession: her wedding and wedding magazines! Of course I have to point out that the cover image on Ceremony is MINE!!! Woo-Hoo!!! Tommy isn't very impressed, though! Then they switched...not too thrilled This is what I was talking about..the endearing love that Tommy has for Lisa. It was so sweet to witness, and I know they will have a beautiful marriage!

This past weekend, I made a trip down to San Diego to meet my clients, Ryan and Ginni, to do their engagement pictures.  They are getting married this summer up in Sacramento in the area that Ginni grew up in.  Ginni's family owns apple orchards up there and their theme for the wedding kind of centers around this...think BRIGHT colors and having fun in apple orchards with old machinery...Stay tuned!  It's going to be AWESOME!!! Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting Allison and Zach's engagement session...it was so much fun to get meet Zach and get to know them a little bit more! They have a fabulous wedding planned at The Balboa Bay Club this summer!  Stay tuned for part 2 of their e-session.  We are shooting part two in a couple of weeks at a local airport with Zach's plane! Even though Iris and Caesar are getting married in two weeks at Rancho Las Lomas, we still found time to squeeze in an engagement session with them.  I just have to say that I am so excited to work with the both of them!  As high school sweethearts, it was no surprise at how comfortable they were with each other, and they could literally just look at each other and start laughing! We had an absolute blast with each other, and I really think they shine in front of the camera! Check out the fun: It started to get a little sexy...Iris knows how to work it! Over the holiday weekend I had the pleasure to finally meet my clients Colleen and Derek.

They live out of state and were only here in Orange County for the weekend!

They might have the most romantic story I have ever heard from a client. First of all, they met in Italy while they were both studying abroad and fell in love in the most romantic place in the world....then, Derek rented out the ice rink at Rockefeller Center during the holidays last year to propose to her. That is the coolest thing I have ever heard! He wins major points in my book!
We had so much fun shooting their engagement session last weekend. I always love to watch my clients and see how they interact with each other. It helps me to better understand their relationship so I know what will work well (from a photographer's viewpoint) on their wedding day!
