When I was growing up, I always heard the phrase "California Girl"...ya know, the Christie Brinkley's of the world:  blonde hair, blue eyes, big beautiful smile?
Although I believe we cannot any longer describe a California Girl, I have to admit that my client Carlee brought me back to thinking about The California Girl!  This beautiful high school senior really is the epitome of darling....and after I spent time with her, I was blown away at her huge heart and successes she has already accomplished!

Miss Carlee is the cheer captain of her cheer squad, ASB director of activities, and a member of Make a Difference Club and Young Life.  Did I mention she is also on the honor role???!!!

Carlee loves the beach, her family, friends, and summertime!

Her compassion and sweet demeanor sure came through in her senior shoot!

Carlee, best of luck to you as you enter your senior year!

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful incoming Senior and from what I hear, she is quite the soccer stud!  I am going to have to watch one of her Foothill Storm games....my daughter is playing for the same club team, although a little younger!  What a great role model!

I am so excited to share the images from my senior reps! Sam is my first rep that I'm sharing.  I have known Sam for the past 5 years and have seen her grow into a beautiful young lady both inside and out!

Every time I look at these images, I am blown away at how much she has grown up!  I'm sure her parents are slightly freaking out at it, but I know they are so proud of her accomplishments and what an amazing person she has become!

Thank you, Sam, for being my senior rep!  You ROCK!!!

Sometimes traveling little bit out of your normal routine to shoot just seems to be the right recipe for your soul...and this was the shoot for me.  Photographing an amazing family as well as finishing up Jacob's senior session was enough to remind me of how much I love my job!

Upon arriving at Carpinteria State Beach, I was warmly welcomed by this wonderful family...smiles, laughter, and evident love filled the salty air as we made our way down to the water for our shoot.  I was told how they come to Carpinteria every year to reunite with family from all over California to spend the week soaking up the sun and having fun. 

It's families like The Rode's that make you want to grab your RV, sunscreen and s'mores and take your family camping!  After all, spending time with family is always a good thing.
