welcome to my blog! For those of you just visiting for the first time, welcome!   My name is julie weaver and I am a Southern California based photographer. I have been a professional photographer for the past 10 years and have specialized in weddings and portraits.

Having a family of my own, I understand the importance of capturing those little moments that seem to flash before our eyes....the quirky smiles, the scrunchy noses, the temper tantrums, the interaction that takes place between you and your child....and even those wonderful teenage years...it's priceless and gone before you know it!  I am THAT person who gets to capture those silly and precious moments that you love so much. That's why I absolutely LOVE my job!

Thanks for stopping by!

For those of you who have been following my blog, you might remember my fabulous clients, Erin and Ryan. They were the ones who flew me up to Napa to do their engagement pictures last month.
After over a year of planning by the uber-talented Kary Heimbach from kary h events, their amazing wedding at Red Hill Country Club finally arrived with great anticipation. To start the day off right, Erin had the very talented Cheryl Smith from Radiance Make Up Artists do her beautiful make up.
Mike Ivey from MI Media Productions did the elaborate lighting (it seriously ROCKED!) and the florals were designed by fabulous Nisie Vorachard from Enchanted Florist. The day could not have been so fantastic without these rockin vendors!!!!

Hello, Stuart!

Ryan and Erin decided to see each other befor the ceremony....smart move for those of you who have a later ceremony time.
It was very emotional for Erin as she walked to Ryan...I can't even imagine the rush of excitement she must have been feeling!

I have known Michael since I began my business in photography 7 years ago. He was a huge mentor to me and helped me to better understand the business. At the time, he had a photography studio in Arcadia and he always had an open door policy for me to drop in and shoot there or just to hang out and chat with his team. Over the years we formed a very solid friendship and I was beyond honored when he asked me to photograph his wedding! It's always a big compliment when another photographer asks you to photograph them/their wedding!

Linda is a classic beauty...and absolutely perfect for Michael. Their love for each other is so strong and was evident throughout the day.
As they joined each other in marriage on Sunday, Michael's son Pierce and Linda's two children, Drake & Lily also joined them united as a new (and adorable) family!
Here are some of my favorite images...

These necklaces were given to each of the three childern during the ceremony to welcome them in to the family as one. It was such an amazing moment in the ceremony. Both Michael and Linda took a moment to speak to each child and recited vows especially for the children...I don't think there was a dry eye anywhere.

He was on the high school football team. She was a cheerleader. They dated throughout high school and after graduating college, Carrie became a teacher and Chris has just become a full fledged fireman in Orange County! Their love for each other runs deep and they look in each other's eyes like they are a couple of old souls who are clearly meant for each other.
I had to pinch myself several times yesterday as I unfolded their day through my eyes at the beautiful Mission Inn in Riverside. I had quite the awesome crew with me second shooting so we wouldn't skip a beat throughout the day. Damion Hamilton, Matthew Lim, and Marie Bunke experienced this awesome day with me, and I think we all had a great time.
021-721799.jpg This picture is AWESOME!!! Damion snagged this right before the ceremony and we were being so goofy!!! I love this shot...thanks damion! Make-Up was done by the very talented Tina Goudy from CMG Cosmetics.

I was so honored to be a part of this most amazing day for weddings...lucky 7.7.07.
I truly felt lucky that I photographed this day for Renate and Pat. Their love for each other is clearly evident, and the excitement I saw in their children's eyes was priceless.

This past Memorial Weekend, I was honored to work with the amazingly talented Joe Photo who is known in this industry as being the "rock star" of photography, and let me tell ya, he did not disappoint in living up to his name at this wedding!!! It was so much fun to work with him and this event was nothing less than beautiful. The wedding took place at The Huntington Hyatt. There were 700 guests entertained throughout the day, and unbelievable florals provided by Square Root Designs

Make sure to keep checking on Joe's blog for more images. I tried to choose my favorite image, but instead chose my favorite moment that really took my breathe away while I clicked the shutter. Joe and I took Amita to a very quite and private area at the hotel and had a really amazing shoot with her there.

There really were SO many more images I would like to share, as there were literally thousands of favorites that I had to choose from!
